David and Manjy Sidoo joined two-time Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey at Gotham Hall in New York City.

On January 23, 2012, David Sidoo and Manjy Sidoo joined two-time Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey at Gotham Hall in New York City for a fundraising dinner to support programs in the arts for at-risk youth offered through the Old Vic New York. The event raised funds through table sales, live auction items and foundation donations.

Spacey, who has experienced considerable success both on and off screen and stage, including being the Artistic Director of the Old Vic Theatre in London & NYC, has been a strong advocate for creating opportunities for those who may not otherwise have them. Inspired by a phrase used by his friend Jack Lemmon, “If you’ve been successful in your chosen path you should send the elevator back down,” Spacey created The Kevin Spacey Foundation to support young people in their pursuit of the arts.

Spacey’s foundation is driven by similar beliefs and intentions as Sidoo Family Giving – to help at-risk youth through the arts – which make it a joy for the Sidoos to support and collaborate with Spacey in NYC. Their mutually beneficial relationship has been established for a few years and both organizations reap the rewards of collaboration.

Sidoo Family Giving’s donation goes toward programs that give at-risk youth the opportunity to attend workshops and performances at either Old Vic NY or London.
